A little more than the usual...

Over the last week a very special person has been visiting with us. Karen, is my wife’s fathers cousin sister of English ancestry. To see somebody who is 58 and yet manages to look and behave like somebody who is 30 is not only inspiring but challenging as well.

Karen is a fine example of those folks who believe that a little more than the usual is not just a good thing but should be a prerogative.

She has over 800 hours of flight experience,has worked in over three continents while having traveled to almost every country! she is also a brilliant textile artist(here is a link to her artist page http://zero3textileartists.com/artist9-3.html) who is the contracted accountant for not one or two or three but FOUR organizations!

i can only hope to have the spark and energy she has when i get that old!!

God teaches us. Constantly. The problem is that we suffer with really short attention spans! In just the past week my extended family has had to deal with a delayed relocation, a disconnection of essential utilities and a hospitalization.

Each night my wife and I got together to seek gods face, we found it quite difficult to express in words the exacting worry we felt. Yet we both found many things to be grateful for. Thankfully we were listening to the master teacher when he was expounding through these situations. We learnt to surrender to his unceasing providence and his impeccable timing. It reinforced our faith that his master plan is not thwarted in the least by the small obstacles of the deceiver. Funds were arranged, assurances given and diagnosis revealed that our greatest fears would remain figments of our imagination.

God is teaching us. Always. We just have to listen and we can ALWAYS get a little more than the usual if only we choose to.
